Ben Droz
Managing Director
Ben is a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Acadia, where he focuses on investments across renewable energy, energy transition, power, utilities, and related infrastructure sectors. He serves on the Board of Directors of Mission Clean Energy and previously led Acadia’s structured equity transactions with Matrix Renewables, Arevon Energy, Greenflash Infrastructure, and BayWa r.e.
Ben has over ten years of investing and transaction experience. Prior to Acadia, Ben was a Principal on KKR’s Infrastructure Investing team. Prior to KKR, he was a Vice President on Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy Infrastructure team, and earlier in his career he worked in GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services business, where he focused on tax equity and other structured equity transactions.
Across these roles, Ben has evaluated and executed acquisitions, financings, and capital raise transactions in the broader energy transition and infrastructure markets. At KKR, he worked on the $17 billion take-private of CyrusOne, a leading global data center business, as well as multiple other transactions across the energy transition space. At Capital Dynamics, he worked on significant transactions including the acquisition of the 300 MW Eagle Shadow Mountain Solar project and the 400 MW / 1,200 MWh Eland Solar + Storage Energy Center projects.
Ben earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
