Nishil Shah

Associate

Nishil has over two years of energy and renewables experience. Prior to joining Acadia in May 2023, Nishil was an Associate on the Energy & Renewables M&A team at BNP Paribas’ New York offices. There Nishil worked on several buyside and sellside mandates for both thermal and renewable portfolios and standalone assets. His primary role entailed financial modelling, due diligence and transaction management for all transactions. Some notable transactions include advising Arroyo Energy on the sale of its 1.1 GW natural gas-fired generation portfolio and the attempted acquisition of BlueWave (a C&I solar and energy storage developer). Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Nishil interned at two small-cap investment banking firms in New York.

Nishil holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Maharaja Sayajirao University, India as well as a master’s in Financial Management with concentration in Investment Analysis from Boston University. Nishil also holds a Chartered Accountancy degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
